THE TALLITH WITH THE TZITZITS
THE PRAYER SHAWL WITH THE FRINGES, TASSELS
Our heavenly Father gives us commands to show we are set apart
unto Him and His ways alone.
One of the ways to show we are holy, set apart, unto Him
is by our clothing.
We are told to add Tzitzits to the four corners of our garments.
The blue is to be woven through.
"And YHWH spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a ribband of blue and it shall be unto you for a fringe, that you may look upon it and remember all the commandments of YHWH and do them and that you seek not after your own heart and your own eyes after which you used to go away from YHWH: that you may remember and do all my commandments and be holy unto your Elohim!...Make fringes upon the four quarters of your garment” (Devarim, Deuteronomy 22:12; Bemidbar, Numbers 15: 37-40)
The Tzitzits have so much significance. They are hung from the Prayer Shawl, the Tallith the Tent, the Covering, the Wings of Healing. HalleluYHWH! Many references in the Bible refer to the covering the Father desires us to wear.
When I was a little girl I would look for the sky blue crayon because it was my favorite color! I liked my pictures to specifically have sky blue coloring. This was very important to me. Now that I am older and read in the Word that the color Tekhelet is the color our Father wants woven into the Fringes. Tekhelet is the Hebrew word for sky blue and royal blue!
When we look up into the sky, we see beautiful hues of blue. The sky is the Father’s Tallith or covering over us! How Majestically He covers us! The Son of Righteousness arises with Healing in His Wings.
This is one of Abba Father’s wonderful commandments- to wear Tzitzits to show ourselves set apart unto Him- a Royal Priesthood under His Authority!
Tallith is made with two Hebrew words: Tall- Tent and Ith-Little.
So we have the word Little Tent. The little tent represents the Tent of Meeting with the Father. It is the Prayer Closet referred to by the Messiah in Matthew 6:6.
In Luke 8 and Matthew 9:42 we see the woman who was bleeding for 12 years as reaching out to touch the hem of Messiah Yahshua’s garment. The hem were His Tzitzits! Healing in His wings! Malachi 4:2 and in Numbers 15:38 the word for corners is the same word used in Malachi 4:2 for wings! Psalm 91 speaks about dwelling under the shadow of His Wings!
“And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any, Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched. And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me. And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately. And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.” (Luke 843-48) “But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.” (Malachi 4:2) “And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a ribband of blue: And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the Lord, and do them ; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring: That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God.” (B’midbar, Numbers15;38) “He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.” (Tehillim, Psalm 91)
The fringes are not just an ordinary hem as we know hems here in the West. But, rather were a statement identifying the owner of the garment! The Tzitzits were commanded by YHWH to be worn by His people to show that they are holiness unto Him, a Royal Priesthood, A Chosen Generation!
"He has a name written on Him that no one but He Himself knows. He is clothed in a garment dipped in blood and His Name if the Word of God.. on His Garment and on His Thigh He has a name written: KING OF KINGS and LORD OF LORDS” (Hazon, Revelation 19)
The Tzitzits are worn near the thigh. While we walk they swing back and forth. It is from the area of the thighs that the Seed for Life springs forth!
