Esther's life is significant in showing us the importance of patiently waiting and fasting before YHWH and being in the place He wants us though we may not understand it.
Something interesting about Esther is that Esther is her 'worldly' name by which she is known. Her given hebrew name is Hadassah! Her given name was hidden in order to bring salvation to the Father's children when the time was needed.
Can you think of other people in the Bible who encountered this situation- whose hebrew identity was hidden until the time of salvation? How about Moses, Joseph and Daniel? And how about Jesus?
This just gives a little glimpse at the major importance of us understanding Esther's life and the magnitude of the value of studying about Purim!
There is a way to approach the throne of YHWH and Esther's life shows this. Humility is numer one. Reverance also! A contrite and broken heart he receives! Prayer and fasting are valid steps of importance in our daily walk as believers.
Bless His name.
Parallels throughout this fantastic event leading up to celebrating Purim can be found in our walk as believers.
The holiest day of the year is Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, when the Book of Life will be opened and we want to hear our name written in it! Sometimes this most holiest day is called Yom hakipPURIM! Wait until you find out why!?! Let me hear a shout HALLELUYHWH!!
Something else to think about: Think of some of the well known names of those who have come against YHWH's chosen people. Haman, Herod, Hitler, Hamas. What do they all have in common? They all begin with an 'H'.
In Hebrew the 'H' sound is made with the letter Hey. The ancient picture of the letter Hey looks like a man jumping up and down with his hands raised up as he beholds that which is before him.
One of the meanings of the letter Hey is BREATH. So, here we see the enemy of YHWH using each of the ones coming against YHWH's people by trying to take their breath away.
But, we know that GREATER IS HE THAT IS IN US THAN HE THAT IS IN THE WORLD! So, on, the flip side of the coin, we live by the BREATH OF YHWH! HALLELUYHWH!
That means the 'H' for us represents YHWH's Breath and our BEHOLDING HIS DELIVERANCE AND SALVATION! AMEN!
So,I say to you "HEY!"
TODAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION! TODAY STAND IN THE GAP FOR THE ONE WHOM RUACH HAQODESH IS LAYING UPON YOUR HEART TO INTERCEDE FOR OR PROVIDE FOR THEIR NEEDS!
BE AN ESTHER, BE A MORDECHAI, BE A DANIEL, BE A JOSEPH, and follow the love of MESSIAH's example to those closest to you and to those far away!
