  • Resurrection Day!

SHABBAT  SHABBATH  SABBATH  SABADO

THE SEVENTH DAY!

REMEMBER THE SABBATH DAY, TO KEEP IT HOLY.  BUT THE SEVENTH DAY IS THE SABBATH OF YAHWEH YOUR ELOHIM:  IN IT YOU SHALL NOT DO ANY WORK, YOU, NOR YOUR SON, NOR YOUR DAUGHTER, NOR YOUR MANSERVANT, NOR YOUR MAIDSERVANT, NOR YOUR CATTLE, NOR YOUR STRANGER WHO IS IN YOUR GATES;  FOR IN SIX DAYS YAHWEH MADE THE HEAVENS AND EARTH, THE SEA, AND ALL THAT IS IN THEM, AND RESTED THE SEVENTH DAY;  THEREFORE YAHWEH BLESSED THE SABBATH DAY, AND HALLOWED IT. SHEMOTH (Exodus) 20:8-11

The Sabbath is the weekly Feast Day or Appointed Time (Moed in Hebrew) that our heavenly Father has set apart to meet with us.  It is His!  His Holy Day is the SEVENTH day of each week.  He does not change.  It is for all people to meet with Him.

Yahshua's disciples honored the seventh day of the week as YHWH's set-apart and holy (Qadosh) Sabbath Day which in Hebrew is called SHABBAT.  The book of Ma'aseh (Acts) speaks of them teaching the books of Moses in the synagogue from Sabbath to Sabbath.

It is written in the book of Daniel that the fourth empire, which we know as the Roman empire, would change YHWH's calender.  That is what they did when they put the Sabbath as the first day.  The fourth empire justified it by saying Messiah rose on the first day of the week.  That fact cannot give way to changing YHWH's Calender.

The book of Revelation states that YHWH's people will keep the seventh day Sabbath in the future during Yahshua's reign.

In fact, in Hazon (Revelation) 14:11-12 it says "those who worship the beast do not rest". They don't enter into rest- Yahshua is master of the Sabbath and we are to enter into His rest each week.

Keeping YHWH's seventh day set apart is a SIGN!  He says that when we keep and guard it then it is a sign that we are His!

Shemoth (Exodus) 20:11 & 31:13 Bemidbar (Deuteronomy) 5:12-15 & Ezekiel 20:12

Keeping His Sabbath sets us apart as His people.  It is a sign-a mark between Him and us.

It is a mark on our forehead and on our hand meaning

it is in our thoughts and shown by our actions.

The Sabbath Day is YHWH's and it is very important to Him that we guard it.

The way we honor it is to fellowship and study the Scriptures with believers and by resting from the usual day to day buying, selling and working.

YHWH modeled this day for us from the very first week of Creation before the Jewish people were a nation, before Moses received the commandments.

In Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 56 the eunuchs are told that their name will be on the wall in the temple if they keep His Sabbath.  YHWH will gather those who keep His covenant to His Holy Mountain.

Don't be a shepherd who lacks understanding and goes his own way.

HalleluYAH!  The Sabbath Day is His day!  Let us give Him honor by guarding it as it is put forth in His Holy Word!

"What good is knowing the truth if you aren't willing to defend it?" -Gallileo

SHABBAT in Hebrew consists of the letters Shin, Bet, Tav

The first two letters form the word Shuv meaning to RETURN.

The last letter is the ancient picture of a MARK and

stands for THE COVENANT.

Here within the Word which means to have

HIS MARK UPON US IS THE MESSAGE:

RETURN TO THE COVENANT!!

HALLELUYHWH!!!!!!

We also see the first letter is SHIN which means  NOURISH then we see the word ABBA in it which means FATHER and then we end with the TAV which represents COVENANT.  So here we have:

Shabbat: Return & receive Nourishment from the Father of the Covenant!

The instruction to keep the 7th day Sabbath is in the middle of THE TEN COMMANDMENTS!  Keeping YHWH's seventh day set apart is a SIGN!  He says that when we keep and guard it then it is a sign that we are His! Shemoth (Exodus) 20  The Ten Commandments  Then God spoke all these words:  2 I am YHWH Eloheynu, who brought you out of the land of Mitzrayim, out of the place of slavery.  3 Do not have other gods besides Me.   4 Do not make an idol for yourself, whether in the shape of anything in the heavens above or on the earth below or in the waters under the earth. 5 You must not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the fathers’ sin, to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, 6 but showing faithful love to a thousand generations of those who love Me and keep My commands.  7 Do not misuse the name of the Lord your God, because the Lord will not leave anyone unpunished who misuses His name.  8 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy: 9 You are to labor six days and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. You must not do any work—you, your son or daughter, your male or female slave, your livestock, or the foreigner who is within your gates. 11 For the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and everything in them in six days; then He rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and declared it holy.  12 Honor your father and your mother so that you may have a long life in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.  13 Do not murder.  14 Do not commit adultery.  15 Do not steal.  16 Do not give false testimony against your neighbor.   17 Do not covet your neighbor’s house. Do not covet your neighbor’s wife, his male or female slave, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.  The People’s Reaction  18 All the people witnessed[a] the thunder and lightning, the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain surrounded by smoke. When the people saw it[b] they trembled and stood at a distance. 19 “You speak to us, and we will listen,” they said to Moses, “but don’t let God speak to us, or we will die.”  20 Moses responded to the people, “Don’t be afraid, for God has come to test you, so that you will fear Him and will not[c] sin.” 21 And the people remained standing at a distance as Moses approached the thick darkness where God was”.& 31:1312 The Lord said to Moses: 13 “Tell the Israelites: You must observe My Sabbaths, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, so that you will know that I am Yahweh who sets you apart. 14 Observe the Sabbath, for it is holy to you. Whoever profanes it must be put to death. If anyone does work on it, that person must be cut off from his people. 15 Work may be done for six days, but on the seventh day there must be a Sabbath of complete rest, dedicated to the Lord. Anyone who does work on the Sabbath day must be put to death. 16 The Israelites must observe the Sabbath, celebrating it throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant. 17 It is A SIGN FOREVER between Me and the Israelites, for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, but on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.”The Two Stone Tablets  18 When He finished speaking with Moses on Mount Sinai, He gave him the two tablets of the testimony, stone tablets inscribed by the finger of God.   Bemidbar (Deuteronomy) 5:12-15  Keeping His Sabbath sets us apart as His people.  It is a sign-a mark between Him and us. It is a mark on our foreheads and on our hand meaning it is in our thoughts and shown by our actions.

Here in the following of Exodus 34 we see the Feast Days Of YHWH including in the Commandments.  HalleluYHWH!

Shemoth 34   And YHWH said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest.  2And be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning unto mount Sinai, and present thyself there to me in the top of the mount.  3And no man shall come up with thee, neither let any man be seen throughout all the mount; neither let the flocks nor herds feed before that mount.  4And he hewed two tables of stone like unto the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up unto mount Sinai, as YHWH had commanded him, and took in his hand the two tables of stone.  5And YHWH descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of YHWH.  6And YHWH passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,  7Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.  8And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.  9And he said, If now I have found grace in thy sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray thee, go among us; for it is a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thine inheritance.  10And he said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the people among which thou art shall see the work of the LORD: for it is a terrible thing that I will do with thee. 11Observe thou that which I command thee this day: behold, I drive out before thee the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite.  12Take heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land whither thou goest, lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee:  13But ye shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves:  14For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:  15Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, and one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice;  16And thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring after their gods.  17Thou shalt make thee no molten gods.   18The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep. Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, as I commanded thee, in the time of the month Abib: for in the month Abib thou camest out from Egypt.  19All that openeth the matrix is mine; and every firstling among thy cattle, whether ox or sheep, that is male.  20But the firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb: and if thou redeem him not, then shalt thou break his neck. All the firstborn of thy sons thou shalt redeem. And none shall appear before me empty.  21Six days thou shalt work, but on the seventh day thou shalt rest: in earing time and in harvest thou shalt rest.  22And thou shalt observe the feast of weeks, of the firstfruits of wheat harvest, and the feast of ingathering at the year's end.  23Thrice in the year shall all your men children appear before the Lord GOD, the God of Israel.  24For I will cast out the nations before thee, and enlarge thy borders: neither shall any man desire thy land, when thou shalt go up to appear before the LORD thy God thrice in the year.  25Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leaven; neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the passover be left unto the morning.  26The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring unto the house of the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.  27And the LORD said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel.

~Songs Of Leslie Ann

"The number seven will always represent completion and holiness. It says he sanctified that day that goes back to the Hebrew word Kadosh. So it's the 7th day that is actually declared holy. In fact, it's the first thing in all the earth declared holy. So our very first understanding of holiness and what holiness is we associated with the number 7 and completion.
Remember the second day of creation it was not declared good until the third day when the waters were gathered. So just separating the waters is not enough... have to be gathered to like kind and like mind. And so in terms of holiness you have to continue moving and learning what he is preparing us to live like him to restore us.'' -Beautiful word by Hollisa Alewine in The Creation Gospel
