From the recording It Is Shabbat

On the evening of November 27, 2012 my youngest child at seven years old said to me, "Mom, I wrote a song." So I said, "Okay! Let's go to the piano and hear it." Daniel BradLee sang the melody and chorus and I figured out the chording then we worked on the verses together. It was beautiful collaborating together.

It Is Shabbat is a song about the seventh day Sabbath rest, a weekly day that our Maker set us aside from the very beginning of creation to meet with His people. This song talks about the wonderful elements that take place on this day-singing, praying, resting, fellowshipping, studying, eating food that the Bible says is healthy for us, blowing the ram's horn...

Our Heavenly Father modeled this day himself; He observed it after six days of working during the week then resting on the seventh day. He never changed His day of rest. In fact we will continue to keep His seventh day of rest in the future as the book of Revelations says just like all our Heavenly Father's Holy Days/His Feast Days will be kept.

Each of our Father's Holy Days are for us to know Him and His ways; each day has foreshadowed for all generations past and coming generations His redemptive plan of salvation through the Messiah -His Beloved Son YahShua HaMashiach!

When we go to His Word and study it we find again and again that He says to honor His Sabbath, His Shabbat. Of course we want to honor and worship Him everyday, but how much more when we gather on this day that He specifically set aside for all of His people. HalleluYAH that He chose the Jewish people to preserve His ways, but let us remember that they are His ways that He established before the Jewish people were even a nation and that we are admonished that His ways, His Feast Days, His Appointed Times, will continue to be kept even after Messiah returns! Let us take knowledge of the fact that Noah and Abraham also kept His commandments before the Jewish people were a nation. In fact, these our patriarchs of the Bible also like us found grace in YHWH's sight long before Messiah came the first time. Grace and Mercy are throughout the writings of Moses and the prophets of old.

His ways are for all Israel and all who join to Israel! That is us! HalleluYAH! What freedom and delight we come to know when we walk in His ways which are for all generations and endure forever! Let us begin by honoring His Sabbath- His Shabbat. How do we do that? By entering in through the Master of the Sabbath- YahShua HMashiach -Who IS OUR SABBATH REST! HalleluYAH! He is our example of how to keep the Father's ways! From hearts of LOVE and COMPASSION who worship in SPIRIT and IN TRUTH!

Blessed be HIS HOLY NAME!
