  • Resurrection Day!
A very special Sabbath Day.
It is called
THE GREAT SABBATH DAY!
In Hebrew it is called
SHABBATH HAGADOL!
When I think about Passover, my eyes tear up as to what our Messiah did for us.  This is a very special time for us to observe.
~*~
This Great Sabbath Day is more special than many realize.
Guess why?  Well part of the Haftorah Scripture read today is Malachi and is about Messiah coming.  His coming is called -YOM HASHEM HAGADOL W'HANORA
which means
GREAT & AWESOME DAY OF THE LORD!
~*~
Malachi 4:5  Shabbat before Passover.

On Shabbat HaGadol, The Great Sabbath, the Passover Lamb is brought into the home!! This is symbolic of accepting Mashiach, Messiah, into our hearts and preparing to observe Passover.

The sages have taught that Messiah would come in the Spring.

Well, He did!! As a Baby on the 6th of Abib, Nissan.

And then later, riding on a donkey and the people crying Hosanna, selecting the spotless lamb of God!

The Great Shabbat!

It received the name The Great Shabbat due to the miracle of Israel's courage in selecting a lamb for Passover in defiance of Egypt.

How amazing when we realize how these events line up to the T!

And to think that Messiah's birth likely occurred on Shabbat HaGadol, day of the great miracle, then eight days later having Brit Milah, Circumcision, Blood Covenant, on the next Shabbat which was Passover that year. Messiah himself shares about the express provision for it to be carried forth on Shabbat. John 7:21-23.

Oh, how our Heavenly Father's time table of covenant provision is precise and woven into history for our edification, understanding and determination of the times we are living in!

This is also the day when Mary annointed Messiah's feet with oil from the Alabaster Jar.  John 12

May we as the goodman of the house be ready as we rid our houses of the leaven in preparation for the Passover!

Amen!

The Great Shabbat! The year of Messiah's birth Abib 6th fell on this great day. The Day Messiah was born!  Then
Eight days later circumcised on Shabbat for there is provision for it expressly on Shabbat!  Eight days later fullfilling the blood covenant of circumcision on Pesach, Passover.
Oh, how our Heavenly Father's time table is precise and woven into history for edification and understanding!  May the goodman of the house be ready!
Amen!

How about that!
~*~
From much study and meditation and midrash with fellow students of the Scripture the evidence of Messiah's first coming shows to have occured on Shabbath HaGadol. The Great Shabbath before Passover, Pesach, is the true birthdate of the Messiah.
We are told Messiah is the second Adam.
He came as the second Adam on Abib (also known as Aviv or Nissan) the 6th- the 6th day of the first Biblical month just as Adam was created on the 6th day.
This means Messiah fulfilled the blood covenant of Passover both through circumcision 8 days after his birth on Passover Abib the 14th and 33 years later through crucifixion as the Passover Lamb of YHWH!
Just as the sages taught that Meshiach would come this day- and so he did- as Benoni- Son of my suffering, son of Joseph -in the very place Rachel moaned those words before she died when she gave birth to Benjamin at the Tower of the Flock- Migdal Eder- in Bethlehem Ephrathah as said in Micah.  In the very place the Temple Lambs were being swaddled upon birth so was the Lamb of YHWH being swaddled upon birth!

"And thou, O tower of the flock, the strong hold of the daughter of Zion, unto thee shall it come, even the first dominion; the kingdom shall come to the daughter of Jerusalem. Now why dost thou cry out aloud? is there no king in thee? is thy counsellor perished? for pangs have taken thee as a woman in travail.

But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth" Prophesied in Micah 4:8,9; 5:2,3

~*~
Amazing the exactness of the Father's intricate design finely woven through His Holy Feasts to the T!

~*~
Messiah Yahshua fulfilled the Spring Feasts of YHWH already. When He returns He fulfills the Fall Feasts as Benyamin- Son of my Right Hand, the Son of David, conquering King of Kings!
~*~
Today is the day we recognize His birth not in celebration, but rather in overwhelming heartfelt humble recognition and adoration- just as two millennia ago the Temple Shepherds adored him.

We follow as did the wise men from the east who saw and then followed the star. They realized the significance of it from their studies of their predecessor the prophet of old, Daniel, who had been held captive in Babylon and passed down the Holy Writings.
~*~
We love you Yahshua HaMashiach Tsidchanu ben YHWH!
We love you Jesus Christ our Righteous Messiah Son of Yahweh!

Love, Leslie Ann
