TESHUVA-REPENTANCE
*
The Hebrew Month of ELUL - a season of TESHUVA, Repentance, Returning that is preparing us for YOM TERUAH, Day of Blowing and for YOM KIPPUR, Day of ATONEMENT.
Amazingly this month which is preparation for these days that the Father wants us to meet with Him on by remembering and observing and preparing, has an incredible message.
*
The very month ELUL is an acronym which in ancient hebrew is:
"Ani L'Dodi, W'Dodi Li".
This means I am my Beloved's and my Beloved is mine!
*
How beautiful! The Father is telling us we are His and He is ours! & He wants us to be ready for His Son's return for us!
May we have plenty of oil in our lanterns!
*
The 40 days of Teshuva begins ELUL the 1st and end on Tishrei 10th.
This is the period when Messiah fasted in the wilderness. How amazing to know that Messiah honored the Father's very Holy Seasons!!!
*
On the last day, Yom Kippur, is when the Book Of Life will be opened and because He provided Atonement for us who believe our name is written in it.
**
These Moedim are quite significant 'dress rehearsals' that our Father has designed to make us aware of all the events He wants us to be ready for.
**
Many are taught that they are Jewish Days, but in fact the Father made these days before the Jewish people were a nation and He made them for all who will follow His ways.
*
In fact, He says they are HIS APPOINTED TIMES WITH EACH OF US!
HALLELUYHWH!
May we be as the goodman of the house who is aware of the times and seasons and be watching with lamps full of oil!
HalleluYHWH!
YOM TERUAH, Day of BLOWING! On Tishrei 1st!
There are four kinds of trumpet blasts that occur on this day.
*
The last one is called The Last Trump!
1Cor 15:52 says He will come at THE LAST TRUMP!
There is a Hebraic idiom that refers specifically to this day.
*
Because this is the only of the Father's Feast Days that occurs on Rosh Chodesh or on a NEW MOON, it is said of this day that no man knows the day or the hour when it will happen.
*
Messiah said this very statement of his return.
When we honor the Father by meeting Him on HIS FEAST DAYS, HIS APPOINTED TIMES, then we properly understand the Scripture He gave us from the beginning.
In the song I wrote BLOW THE SHOFAR, the four trumpet blasts blown from a shofar are heard.
Rosh Chodesh, New Moon, is important to recognize each month.
Our heavenly Father works in cycles, He brings everything back full circle. He shows us this through the cycle of the new moon which gives us the month.
With Great Love,
