Leslie Ann's Call to be a FISHER
I dreamed in the late 1990's in the month of May about a school of fish swimming down a river towards a wooden dock. On the dock was a white haired man with a fishing pole. He wanted to show me how to fish. He said that I must fish very carefully. He said to look very closely at the school of fish and notice the small pale white fish swimming among them. He said that it was very important to fish out the pale fish, but to do so carefully so the true fish won't die. He next showed me how to do that. On the other side of the river was a very large, tall tree with a woman standing under it. When HE was done helping me how to fish the school of fish turned around and swam back up the river!
The White-haired Man is Abba-Father; He is Love. The woman is Wisdom. The fish are us. The pale fish are falsehoods.
With that dream in mind, I think of the following Scripture:
Jeremiah 16 : 14 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith YHWH, that it shall no more be said, YHWH liveth, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;15 But, YHWH liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers.16 Behold, I will send for many fishers, saith the Lord, and they shall fish them; and after will I send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.17 For mine eyes are upon all their ways: they are not hid from my face, neither is their iniquity hid from mine eyes.18 And first I will recompense their iniquity and their sin double; because they have defiled my land, they have filled mine inheritance with the carcases of their detestable and abominable things.19 O YHWH, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.20 Shall a man make gods unto himself, and they are no gods? 21 Therefore, behold, I will this once cause them to know, I will cause them to know mine hand and my might; and they shall know that my name is YHWH.
Messiah said, "Follow me and
I will make you fishers of men" Matthew 4:19
Later that same year as the first dream I dreamed a month or two later of a second dream about the fish only this time the pale white fish were the only fish swimming in the now much wider but now very shallow river. The other fish which looked healthy were dead laying in mounds on the bottom of the river bed. Off in the distance boxes of trash containers painted white filled the river on the left and a barge of workers were working infront of it.
Oh, how this reminds of the Scripture where Messiah said that both the inside and the outside of the plate need to be clean..how that the weightier matters of the LAW are important. That we are not to be whited sepluchers!
Matthew 23:23-28, Luke 11:42 :23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. 24 Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel. 25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. 26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also. 27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. 28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.
Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Proverbs 16:25 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
