He has called us to be light!
Psalm 128 A song of ascents.
Blessed are all who fear YHWH who walk in obedience to him. You will eat the fruit of your labor blessings and prosperity. Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your children like olive plants around your table. Yes, this will be the blessing for the man who fears YHWH. May YHWH bless you from Zion; may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life. May you live to see your children’s children—peace be on Israel.
He calls us olives. Why?
Well let's go to 2 Corinthians 4: 6-8.
Here is the whole chapter though to see the context.
Therefore, since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God. And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Messiah, who is the image of God. For what we preach is not ourselves, but Yahshua HaMashiach as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Yahshua’ sake. For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,”made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Messiah. But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Yahshua, so that the life of Yahshua may also be revealed in our body. For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Yahshua’ sake, so that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body.So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you. It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.” Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak, because we know that the one who raised the Lord Yahshua from the dead will also raise us with Yahshua and present us with you to himself. All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God. Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
What happens when olives are pressed? They produce oil! What fuels the eternal flame in the Lampstand, the Menorah?
The oil!
Now Read Genesis 8:11
The dove came to him toward evening, and behold, in her beak was a freshly picked olive leaf. So Noah knew that the water was abated from the earth.
Noah, whose name means comfort, knew when the dove, which represents Ruach HaQodesh, brought back the olive leaf, which symbolizes shalom, that the waters, which can represent what is unseen and confusion, were abated.
From this reference we see clearly how the unseen, the confusion is abated, HALLELUYHWH!, when we can see! and have understanding! which comes from Ruach HaQodesh bringing fresh Shalom!
We may be hard pressed on every side! Praise YAH! Because Holy Spirit Oil is coming forth so that we may be the LAMPSTAND OF YAH!
Proverbs 20:27 reads:
The spirit of man is the candle of YHWH
May RUACH HAQODESH MAY BURN BRIGHTLY SO THAT THERE IS LIGHT! SO THAT WE CAN SEE! SO THE DARKNESS IS NOT! So that YHWH's lampstand may burn brightly!
How we go through trials determines if our Heavenly Father will receive Glory through us! Oh may we shine the glory of the Father as Moses shone when he ascended the Mount! Then we will know His Shalom! His integral WHOLENESS!
