FIRSTFRUITS-BIKKURIM

Messiah Yahshua is the Firstfruits from the dead. He arose on the Bikkurim (Firstfruits).

 RESHIT KATZIR BEGINNING OF HARVEST

Messiah the sheaf, omer, of barley is waved as the first harvest. We beginning counting the OMER 50 days to Shavuoth, Pentecost! Seven Sabbaths!

Messiah died for our sins according to the scriptures;  and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures...now is Messiah risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.  For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.  For as in Adam all die, even so in Messiah shall all be made alive.  But every man in his own order: Messiah the firstfruits; afterward they that are Messiah’s at his coming. Qorin'tiyim 1 (1 Corinthians) 15:3, 20-23

Of His own will begat He us with the word of truth, that WE SHOULD BE A KIND OF FIRSTFRUITS of his creatures...But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. ..whoso looketh into the PERFECT "LAW" OF LIBERTY, & CONTINUE THEREIN, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. Ya'akov (James) 1:17, 22-25

Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Messiah was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.  -Romayim (Romans) 6:4

become servants to YHWH, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. -Romayim 6:22

He chose to give us birth through the WORD OF TRUTH that we may be a kind of firstfruits Ya'akov (James) 1:18

After laying His life down for us as the Pesach (Passover) Lamb of YHWH in the midst of the week, Yahshua was then in the earth for three days and nights as the middle Matza (Unleavened bread) the Afeikomen*  is hidden then Messiah conquered death hell and the grave and arose on Firstfruits!  Hoshea (Hosea) 13:14, Hazon (Revelation) 1:18

Yahshua HaMashiach modeled YHWH's calender by His life.  HalleluYHWH!  Bikkurim is YHWH's calender and may we keep it.  Let us stay away from man's trying to replicate another day to replace it. His resurrection Day is on BIKKURIM!

*Afeikomen (This word is Greek.  Many of the original texts from Hebrew were destroyed, but the translations into Greek were preserved. The parallel is that the Hebraic culture of Messiah was hidden through GrecoRoman titles, but is being made manifest in these latter days.)

SHALOM!  ~Leslie Ann

One of my favorite Bible Stories:

Luke, Luqas 24

 The Road to Emmaus

Now behold, two of them were traveling that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was seven miles from Jerusalem.  And they talked together of all these things which had happened.  So it was, while they conversed and reasoned, that Jesus (Yahshua) Himself drew near and went with them. But their eyes were restrained, so that they did not know Him.   And He said to them, “What kind of conversation is this that you have with one another as you walk and are sad?”  Then the one whose name was Cleopas answered and said to Him, “Are You the only stranger in Jerusalem, and have You not known the things which happened there in these days?”   And He said to them, “What things?”

So they said to Him, “The things concerning Yahshua of Nazareth, who was a Prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people,  and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered Him to be condemned to death, and crucified Him.  But we were hoping that it was He who was going to redeem Israel. Indeed, besides all this, today is the third day since these things happened.  Yes, and certain women of our company, who arrived at the tomb early, astonished us.  When they did not find His body, they came saying that they had also seen a vision of angels who said He was alive. And certain of those who were with us went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said; but Him they did not see.”   Then He said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!  Ought not the Messiah to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory?”  And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.   Then they drew near to the village where they were going, and He indicated that He would have gone farther. But they constrained Him, saying, “Abide with us, for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent.” And He went in to stay with them.  Now it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them, that He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him; and He vanished from their sight.

And they said to one another, “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?”  So they rose up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven and those who were with them gathered together,  saying, “The Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon!”  And they told about the things that had happened on the road, and how He was known to them in the breaking of bread.   Now as they said these things, Yahshua Himself stood in the midst of them, and said to them, “Peace to you.” But they were terrified and frightened, and supposed they had seen a spirit. And He said to them, “Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts?  Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have.”   When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His feet.  But while they still did not believe for joy, and marveled, He said to them, “Have you any food here?” So they gave Him a piece of a broiled fish and some honeycomb. 43 And He took it and ate in their presence. 44 Then He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.” 45 And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures.  46 Then He said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Messiah to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, 47 and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48 And you are witnesses of these things. 49 Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.”  50 And He led them out as far as Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them. 51 Now it came to pass, while He blessed them, that He was parted from them and carried up into heaven. 52 And they worshiped Him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy, 53 and were continually in the temple praising and blessing God. Amen.

John, Yochanan 20

Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Yahshua came and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Peace be with you.” When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.   So Yahshua said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”  And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.”   Now Thomas, called the Twin, one of the twelve, was not with them when Yahshua came.  The other disciples therefore said to him, “We have seen the Lord.”  .. he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”   And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them.Yahshua came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, “Peace to you!” Then He said to Thomas, “  and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.”   And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My sovereign and my God!”  Yahshua said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”  That You May Believe  And truly Yahshua did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Yahshua is the Messiah, the Son of Elohim, and that believing you may have life in His name.

Here Yahshua says in this instance Reach hither thy finger, behold my hands.  Now look at the name YAHWEH Yod Hay Vav Hay. The yod meaning Hand, the Hay Behold or Reveal, the Vav nail and again the Yod hand- so in parallel with what our Savior said we see the Tetragrammaton, the Sacred name revealed.

 Here YAHWEH means:

BEHOLD THE NAILS, BEHOLD MY HANDS!

So here in the passage we see so evidently a beautiful word picture of the Salvation Message through our Savior Yahshua HaMashiach the Beloved Son of YHWH our Heavenly Father!
