WHO IS THE CHURCH?

Well, let's look in the Scriptures to see.  Remember all things can be tested and proved by the Scriptures.

The first assembly of people referred to as the church were the Israelites.  Stephen's account in Ma'aseh (Acts) 7:38 speaks of this.  So here, the Israelites are considered the first church.

In modern society and for the last couple of millenia the church has been referred to as those who accept Messiah Yahshua.  But, within the first 4 centuries the believers of Messiah were told to no longer celebrate the Feast Days of YHWH who called them.  They were made to believe that those days were Jewish since the Jews were chosen to preserve them.  It was taught that those who followed YHWH's days were in legalism and not following the precepts of grace.  The church leaders chose to instead use man-made worldly days to worship YHWH.  It is hard to believe that this happened.  Furthermore, it is still being taught today to not worship our Almighty Creator with the days He gave but rather use man's holidays.  Not only that, but the man-made holidays being used to worship Him originated from events of anti-christ figures.  This is an insult to the Creator of all who spends so much time giving the details of how He desires us to meet with Him.

It is time to stop closing our eyes to these matters.  YHWH is merciful and His mercy is not a new concept- He showed it throughout the Scriptures.  He shows it to those whose hearts are motivated by His Word in love.  He wants us to understand HIS WAYS and once we are aware of HIS WAYS we need to walk in them.

Now, did you know that the assembly that gathers in the Synagogue nowadays has not accepted Yahshua as the Messiah.  Just as the present day church as been afraid to meet with Abba on His special appointed days, so to the synagogue is taught to fear accepting Yahshua.  They are teaching that Yahshua is the 'God' of the gentiles.

So it goes both ways- the fear- a plot of the enemy to keep segregation and distance.  The church is taught that the Feast Days are for the Jews only; they are taught that following YHWH's Feasts makes them legalistic and fallen from walking in grace.  The Synagogue is taught that Yahshua is for the Gentiles only; they are taught that to follow Yahshua makes them a traitor to Judaism.  Both are lies.

The Feasts are YHWH's and His Son Yahshua is YHWH's.  The Feasts were not invented by the Jews and Yahshua wasn't invented by the Gentiles.  Both are YHWH's and both are for all people who believe in HIS WORD that endures forever.

So, to the present day church YHWH's Feast Days endure forever for all who believe.

So to the present synagogue the Messianic prophecies in the Tanakh. Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 7:14; 9:6,7 and Micah 5:2  Therefore YHWH himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. ;  For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.  Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of YHWH of hosts will perform this. ; But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

Another look :  Are we to follow a greek or a hebrew Messiah?  What was Messiah?  Well, the Hebrews  were chosen to be whom he was given through.  So, let us make sure we strive to understand the study of Scriptures through the Hebraic mindset.  It is a blessing that the Greeks were able to preserve the texts in Greek, especially, since the original Hebrew documents were burned when Jerusalem was burned. In the Passover Seder meal that is so significant of Messiah also has a word in it specifically of Greek nature- the word is Afeikomen. It is the word that refers to the hidden piece of Matza that is found which alludes to Yahshua being hidden but then found. It is symbolic of the Scriptures being preserved through the Greek, but then in these latter days the profound importance of the hebraic understanding of the Scriptures is coming to light. Original documents in Hebrew are being excavated to this day. Amen!
